Historic Telluride

The History of Gorrono Ranch in Telluride

Before Telluride's ski lifts and mountain restaurants, Gorrono Ranch operated as a working sheep ranch. The property was homesteaded by the Basque family whose name it still carries, and many of the original ranch buildings remain in use today. Historic log walls, a stone fireplace and rustic gathering spaces preserve the character of the original ranch at 10,100 feet.
